Abbi Jacobson
Abbi Jacobson as well as Ilana Glazer, who are both comics, were dissatisfied with the lack of opportunities for comedians of women. They came up with their own show called the Broad City. Jacobson went to an institution called the Maryland Institute College of Art to study video and fine arts. She then completed a semester of stand-up comedy with the poet Jeremy Sigler. Her graduation was in. In the year 2006 she moved back to New York City and started studying in the Atlantic Theater Company as well as the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. She met Ilana Glazer. Jacobson and Glazer realized that it was difficult to join comedy clubs, so they started Broad City a YouTube web-based series that was on for five years. Then they adapted the show into an event live to be broadcast by the Upright Citizens Brigade. They created Broad City on Comedy Central in 2014. The sitcom featured a range of the challenges twentysomethings face to get a foothold to the top of the heap in New York. Jacobson developed the show Welcome to Camp in 2011as an all-woman TV show. In 2013, she also released two coloring books: Color This Book: New York City and The Coloring Book San Francisco.
