Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer best recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the mid 1950s when she appeared in Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. Then she performed in a variety of Broadway productions before making it huge in the national theater space with Li'l Abner' in 1957. In 1957, she also released her debut music album entitled It's time for Tina. Louise's debut appearance in Hollywood was as Griselda In God's Little Acre, a 1958 romantic drama. It received wide praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in the New Star of the year category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's teacher. In 1964, she won her next notable role when CBS contracted her to play Ginger Grant.
