Yael Stein Yael Stein, who is Australian living in New York City since 2013 She played Lorna Morrello on Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with Australia's premiere storytellers, luminaries of performance and visionaries behind the scenes in films as well as theatre and television. Yael is an internationally acclaimed actress across Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new residence when Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to critical acclaim, became her new home in New York City. Yael was the co-founder of The Cannery. It is located in a Bushwick Brooklyn studio The Cannery encourages new and artistic writings, and are a source of inspiration for new concepts.
